I am using a Sony Ericsson Ki mobile phone with this system. My problem is that when I pair and connect my phone, not all of my phone contacts will upload into the unit so that I can select and dial them from the headunit.
The manual says that numbers can be uploaded. I have checked my phone and all of the numbers are in the phone itself as opposed to the simcard. At present I can upupload as far as letter "J" of my phonebook.
I have spoken to Alpine tech support and they suggested trying sending the remaining missing entries via OPP which my Sony Ericsson supports, When I try this I get an error message.
I am also told that the KCEBT is effectively a Parrot unit and this is the first time that Parrot and Alpine have worked together to produce a bluetooth unit. I then tried at the Car Audio installers, pairing my Sony Ericsson to a display model Parrot LS and it worked perfectly and uploaded all of my phonebook contacts from A to Z. I should also point out that I previously had the KCEBTi bluetooth unit and this had the same problem as well as inferior audio on outgoing phone calls. Any ideas or suggestions welcomed on this one as it is driving my nuts!!!!!
